Chef Chelsey grew up on the shoreline in Connecticut and started cooking and baking as a young child alongside her Mom and Grandma. She loved waking up early to help cook Saturday mornings pancakes from the Fannie Farmer cookbook for her family.  At a young age she learned food is love.  Later in life she went on to pursue her Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate from the Center for Culinary Arts in Cromwell, CT in 2003.  Her studies continued at Gateway Community and Technical College in New Haven, CT where she earned her degrees in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts in 2008.  She developed her craft while working in bakeries and fine dining restaurants, along with a internship at City Seed Farmers Market in New Haven, CT.  Her level of professionalism was elevated during the years she worked next door to Yale University, at New Haven's fine dining French restaurant, Union League Cafe as a Pastry Chef.  Years of professional experience and diversity in the field helped honed her craft and heightened her passion for food and hospitality. 

In 2011 Chelsey moved to Boulder, CO to start a new life with an old friend.  From there she connected with Chef Katie B. Heuth of EAT Private Chef & Catering Co. Chelsey's eyes opened up to Colorado's bountiful harvest while working as Sous Chef for one of Boulder County's most celebrated boutique caterers specializing in Farm to Table Weddings and Farm Dinners.  In 2013 she began working as a personal chef for clients with specific dietary needs with a focus on nutrition and whole foods.  In 2015 Left Hand Private Chef was created, offering private chef services and fine dining private dinner parties with seasonally fresh menus.  

Chef Chelsey prides herself in her standards of quality, presentation and professionalism while keeping a calm demeanor in the kitchen.  Chef Chelsey understands we all live busy lives, she provides several services to help make your life easier and taste better ~ Personal & Private Chef Services, Private Dinner Parties, Private Catering, Small Weddings, Desserts, Wedding Cakes and Cooking Classes.
